KU-KSU: Ugggggghhhhhh
I’m starting this post with a picture of one of the skydivers that flew into Memorial Stadium before the game. For KU fans, this was about the only thing we had to cheer about in this ridiculously pathetic and embarrassing display of football that we were forced to sit through for another week.
I have to be honest. It’s hard for me to spend ANY time writing about the KU-KSU game because I already feel like I wasted enough time driving down from Kansas City, sitting through a half (yes, Missy and I left shortly after half and spared ourselves from any additional suffering), and then driving back to Kansas City.
The saving grace was that I LOVE being in Lawrence in the Fall, the weather was gorgeous, the view from The Oread Hotel’s 5th Floor was awesome, and of course the pre-game bloody marys at Louise’s West were as mouth-wateringly delicious as they’ve ever been. Continue reading →
